What is Silver Bars?

Silver Bars is the name used by Tall Pine Council for its week long National Youth Leadership Training.  In 2005, the conference will be held at CAMP HOLAKA in beautiful Lapeer, Michigan. 

It provides Boy Scouts who are age 13 and above that have achieved at least the rank of First Class Scout a full week of learning and living comprehensive leadership skills that will impact them not only in Scouting but in school, at work and for the rest of their lives.

The National Youth Leadership Training curriculum is new and different from the Junior Leader Training Conference curriculum used over the past 30+ years of Silver Bars.  Information about the new course can be found in the Scouting Magazine Article and the NYLT National Site, links below.
